Lost in music, caught in a trap

Here are some of the tunes I’ve had on repeat for the best part of 2008. Only one of these was actually released in 2008, though…

And a late contender for 2008, but definitely deserves a mention (thanks Alan) -

Pouncing

I’m addicted to the Pounce feature on Etsy at the moment. I know a lot of people find it hard to find what they’re looking for on Etsy, it can be overwhelming but if you just fancy a browse this is the perfect tool. It gives you the option of either displaying undiscovered shops or shops which have just had a sale.

My favourite finds so far are:

The internet has way too many places to rid yourself of money.

Aesthetics

I’m increasingly bored with the whiter than white blank walls of my flat but I’d rather not spend my hard earned cash on some identikit Ikea prints straight off a production line just for something to look at. Just as well the internet is full of talented photographers and artists ready to sell you their wares… if only you know where to look.

I have long since admired the photography of Belfast born Sarah Kane and this particular photo caught my eye, Times Square reflected in a puddle on the road.  First purchase accomplished.

Next I stumbled upon the edgy illustrations of Seattle based artist Natalia Czajkiewicz. I love the girl’s expressions, the colours used and I’m a sucker for clever lyrics, which some of her illustrations contain.

Available to buy at Lostteeth.

Added to my Christmas list is this rather sweet print by Belle & Boo -

… swifty followed by this cutesy “Cherry Berry Monster” print from Yumiyumi.

I hope Santa reads this…
