The shopping bug has struck again. I’m really in no position to be spending but I saw this and had to have it…

I love the colour combination and I think it’ll look amazing with a plain vest. Available from iheartnorwegianwood.
Then I came across this pretty little vintage vase and somehow it ended up in my basket. Oops.

A few other things I love right now but sadly cannot afford:

Handmade seafoam green leather bag from valhallabrooklyn, possibly the best range of handmade bags I’ve ever seen on Etsy – so professional.

Big Star Bib necklace from missrubysue – can you tell I’m into statement necklaces right now?

I adore everything by Sarah Seven, but especially this “A Peaceful Afternoon” dress.

People buy other people gifts, meaning I can afford to pay my rent this month.

Lately I’ve been indulging in some major shoe therapy. At the risk of sounding like a Carrie Bradshaw wannabe, there really is nothing better than a brand new pair of skyscraper heels to put a smile back on my face (for a few hours, anyway). Ah, instant gratification. Don’t you just love it?
This year I’d like to find the following in my stocking on Christmas morning:

A year’s supply of:

And Sky+, so I never need miss an episode of Taggart again.

Note to Santa: please make sure James is sans facial hair. Cheers.
I’m increasingly bored with the whiter than white blank walls of my flat but I’d rather not spend my hard earned cash on some identikit Ikea prints straight off a production line just for something to look at. Just as well the internet is full of talented photographers and artists ready to sell you their wares… if only you know where to look.
I have long since admired the photography of Belfast born Sarah Kane and this particular photo caught my eye, Times Square reflected in a puddle on the road. First purchase accomplished.

Next I stumbled upon the edgy illustrations of Seattle based artist Natalia Czajkiewicz. I love the girl’s expressions, the colours used and I’m a sucker for clever lyrics, which some of her illustrations contain.

Available to buy at Lostteeth.
Added to my Christmas list is this rather sweet print by Belle & Boo -

… swifty followed by this cutesy “Cherry Berry Monster” print from Yumiyumi.

I hope Santa reads this…

I don’t want to turn into one of those women whose houses are crammed with cutesy ornaments (I’ll save that for when I’m 70 and have a glass cabinet to do them justice) but when I saw these snow covered cat figurines I just couldn’t say no to their big painted eyes. Of course this started a pattern of casually browsing for similar items and as a result I’ve now got some 50’s deer figurines and am watching a strange but cute dog/rabbit figurine on eBay. Maybe I should quit now…
